I recently had the honor of attending an event with one of my favorite interior designers, Lindye Galloway. I have been following Lindye’s work since the day I stumbled on her Instagram account over a year ago and became instantly smitten with her style. Although I am not an expert in interiors, I LOVE following accounts that help bring inspiration, and her style is the perfect blend of chic, beachy, but equally modern – 100% my personal style! When I received the invite for her event, I just knew it would be top notch and I was not disappointed one bit. The table setting, decor, and her presentation about Interior trends for 2018 was so informative and were just the inspiration I needed right before moving into our new house. I was able to really connect with her team, who by the way are a dream, and they were kind enough to give me permission to share some of Lindye’s own Inspiration Boards as well as her personal tips for the latest trends with all of you. I feel honored to share them here as it is my hope to incorporate many of the decor tips into our new house as I begin adding pieces and getting our bedrooms set!
How insane is this table setting?! So tasteful, airy, bright, and the perfect setting for any spring or summer occasion! I also am swooning over the purple linen napkins, I have a recent obsession with linen and I want it everywhere and for everything, hahaha
I love that Lindye paired some of the recent fashion trends to interior trends and showed how the two are intermingled and connect. Truly one is no different than the other when it comes to yearly trends and she perfectly illustrated that with her design inspo!
Spring/Summer Trends 2018 by Lindye Galloway
Pom Poms– Pom Poms add such a cute detail. We’re seeing on purses and sandals and we’re using them on pillows, blankets and a little touch on baskets!
Natural Elements– We’re seeing so much straw and wicker hitting the streets this spring and we love to infuse this look in art and adorable swinging chairs!
Bright & Bold– Pops of color are always on trend and this season they have been showing up in earrings and shoes, so we are taking note and using a splash of color on front doors, kitchen islands, and velvet chairs.
Stripes on Stripes– We’re seeing a variety of stripes in rompers and sandals so we’re incorporating those lines into rugs, pillows, and blankets!
If you don’t already follow Lindye Galloway’s work I highly recommend checking her out. I am a huge fan of her Instagram and blog because she not only shows photos of her recent work but also share tips and provides a ton of recourses for decorating. I have used her work for so much inspiration in our home and with the ever growing and changing setting of our new house I plan on looking to her for inspiration as we continue the process of unpacking and re-decorating. She also has a wonderful Pinterest account I love and am often seen re-pinning so be sure to check that out as well!
Which mood board sticks out to you the most? I think for me recently it is definitely Natural Elements. I have noticed a shift from loving all things grey to more recently gravitating towards more warm, natural, tan colors and pieces. I can’t wait to share more of our interior journey with you as it continues to unfold!
Thank you so much to the entire team at Lindye Galloway Interiors – you guys are always my number one resource and I am and continue to be one of your biggest fans!
