You guys, I just got home from an impromptu Girl’s Night Out with one of my besties, Cassie, and we had the BEST night! I snuck away from my boys to go see the movie “I Feel Pretty” at Cinépolis and the it was one of the funniest movies I have watched in a long time. Cinépolis is honestly D and mine’s favorite movie theatre and we live just a mile from the theatre (we actually used to live even closer than we do now). Wayyyy back before the little guy was born, we used to try to see new movies almost every weekend – then this new gorgeous theatre popped up in our neighborhood so naturally we had to check it out. Honestly, the movie theatre experience will never feel the same after getting spoiled by Cinépolis, and we always check the new release listings here first. The insanely comfortable recliner couches, blankets on demand, servers walking around taking food/beverage/dessert orders… uhhhh yes please.
Now that D and I are parents, date nights tend to have a time limit, so what I love most about Cinépolis is that it’s a no-hassle theatre which makes for a relaxing night out without the kiddos. A typical dinner AND a movie takes about 3-4 hours when all is said and done, but when we plan for date night at Cinépolis it cuts that time in half. We buy our tickets online, pick out our exact seats when ordering our tickets, and eat a full dinner and dessert while watching our movie… it’s like being at home, only no toddler jumping all over us and wayyyyy more relaxing because I don’t have to clean up the dinner mess afterwards (ha!).
When I come here with my girlfriends we are usually seeing some sort of girly cute movie, so I love that the theatre also has a full-service bar. We get to sip wine and cocktails, indulge in chocolate lava cake and ice cream, and kick our feet up and ignore all phone calls from our husbands and kids (wait… did I just say that out loud?). As if this theatre couldn’t get any better, Cinépolis now offers Happy Hour M-F from 3:30-5:50pm (yessss 40% off drinks & $5 apps) as well as a new ticket pricing called Magic Hour ($10 for tickets at luxury theaters and $7 for tickets at their premium and traditional theaters!) every M-Th 3:30-5:30pm.
I had so much fun getting a much-needed night out with my girl, but I felt bad for ditching D and going to our fav. place without him, so I promised that next time he would for sure be my +1. I am already looking forward to it, and you better believe I will share what movie we see next time around. I recently promised myself to enjoy more evenings out with my hubs and friends, and I have to say sneaking away to see a movie on a weeknight felt like such a treat. I can’t wait to make this a regular thing going forward!
Thank you to the amazing team at Cinépolis Luxury Cinemas Laguna Niguel. Everyone was so helpful and kind, and our server Trevor was on his A-Game!! If you are local, definitely drop in for your next night out, and even if you are not, check their site and find one near you STAT. Grab your pals and partners and treat yourself to a night out – if you are lucky like me, you will also get some great belly laughs from Amy Schumer 😉
