Even though it is summer, I will be completely honest with you when I say that I still wear mainly black about 6 times out of 7 during the week. I know summer is about pretty, colorful prints, and I admit that when I see colorful items I squeal and love on them just as much as the girl next to me, but there is just something that wearing black does to my confidence that has me swapping the bright yellows out for black almost every time. I feel most like myself, I feel strong, confident, and chic, and there isn’t another color that makes me feel that way. I wanted to style this outfit in such a way so that you could see that wearing black, even all black, can work for you even during the summer time. This pencil skirt by Zuri Zuri by Flora with the lace detail can be worn in all seasons, but to make the ensemble look a little more ‘light’ I tied the front of my top into a knot to give it that summery/carefree vibe. I have been doing that a lot with so many of my blouses and tees lately, I love that it adds not only some fun style but gives everything that ‘cool’ factor. Add in some sandals and boom – an entire black ensemble perfectly styled for summer!
I also wanted to share some super exciting news with all of my readers, followers, and supporters…
I am so happy to announce that I have just been added to the lineup to be a speaker at
As some of you may remember, I was a speaker at the event last year, and even though it was their first year ever hosting the event in Orange County, it was seriously incredible!! I felt so honored to be asked to be a speaker last year, and after its huge success, I felt even more blessed and flattered that I was asked to come back as an influencer again this year. There are so many great style icons and beauty and fashion influencers that will be guests this year, and to be amongst so many talented people makes me feel so honored. The event will take place November 5, and you can get more information about ticket prices and how to receive your style tote here.
I am hoping to see a lot of my readers at the event this year. I will be sharing more updates and information over the next few months with you so you can be sure to follow along and come and hang with me for the day.
