I recently took a day off from my regular ‘mom routine’ and was able to reward myself with a day at the facial spa, FacialWorks. I went with my best friend, Ari, and we decided to make it a birthday celebration for the both of us; we are a month apart and went right in between both of our birthdays – it was the perfect excuse to celebrate!
I love getting facials and will admit that since having Raj, I have been so terrible at keeping up with my regular facials and my skin has suffered tremendously. I have been in desperate need of getting a facial, and was really excited to try this facial bar here in the OC. I have heard so many great things about them and have have also heard wonderful things about hydra facials, mainly how great they are at evening out skin tone. I have problematic skin, I alway have, so I love anything that will help tame and maintain my complexion.
One of the things I loved most about FacialWorks, besides their great facials, was the interior decor! Everything is so inviting and pretty, and paired with a great girlfriend, a glass of champagne, and the sweetest staff, you feel like you’re in a place worth a million bucks!
I went with the Oxygen Facial and was so pleased with the results. My skin felt and looked so much softer than when I walked in. I have been having issues with extremely dry skin and as soon as my facial was over, I could feel and see such a huge difference! Putting my makeup on the next day went so much smoother than it had been previously, everything looked and felt so much prettier.
Another thing I loved about FacialWorks is that they make and sell their own facial products. When getting your facial, if there is something you really love you can purchase it and know you are getting something of great quality, but at a good price. One of my favorite items was the Exfoliating Cleanser, it is so gentle but leaves my skin soft, it doesn’t dry out your skin or leave it feeling raw, and it is very budget friendly.
Ari and I had the most perfect girl spa day… I was so happy she was able to come with me and we loved every minute. We hung out, sipped champagne, relaxed, and chatted the entire time, all the while feeling so pampered! This would make such a great place to go regularly to keep your skin bright and glowing, or for special events with friends for a girl day… also a great place to take mom for Mother’s Day!
My facial tech was so sweet and educational, she walked me through the entire facial process and I not only got a great facial, I walked away feeling a little more educated on my skin, that is something I truly appreciated! I can not wait to go back soon and this really made me realize how much I need to start taking care of my skin like I used to. This is something that as a mom, I don’t do enough or take the time for, and I have decided my ‘Mother’s Day pact’ is to fix that and get back on a great routine again!
Anyone else have a ‘Mother’s Day pact’ you want to make with me?!
