I am so excited to finally share more details and pictures from StyleCon OC where I spoke as a local influencer along with so many other talented peers in the blogging, beauty, and fashion industry. This is the first year that StyleCon has come to the OC, and being part of the first group of contributors was such an honor, and I was in great company with the other women and brands that were involved.
The panel I spoke on was all about beauty, makeup, and the power and impact of contour and highlight on fashion and its ever-popular trend. We got a first-hand tutorial on techniques and instructions on how to get the perfect contour and I not only loved getting the first-hand tutorial, but felt honored to speak on such a fun topic!
I am typically more of a black accessory over brown accessory kind of girl, but for some reason this season I have been really into wearing brown. Between this brown suede jacket and brown boots I have been wearing non-stop (no pictured), I have been showing so much favoritism to brown which is completely new for me… but I like it!
I loved this dress and the simplicity of it. It is flowy, chic, comfortable, and most importantly, will be easy to wear season to season and for all different types of occasions. Because I knew it was going to be a long day, I wanted to wear something that would be comfortable, but being a speaker I also wanted to be dressed to impress. I loved that adding this chunky bib necklace and heels transformed this dress so effortlessly. I also can’t wait to wear it with booties and a sweater for a more casual look this winter, then flats and sandals for spring and summer!
The style stage was jam packed with so many fabulous speakers and I was so happy to be there cheering on some of my favorite bloggers. All of my girls killed it on stage, and I felt as excited to see all of them shine as I was to have been a speaker myself, I love cheering my girls on!
How gorgeous do my girls Lindsey of Stay Styled Blog, and Auna of Simply Auna look on stage?! They were both models for TopShop (so proud of them) and did a fabulous job. If you don’t already follow and read their blogs, you definitely should start… these are two ladies are are just as beautiful on the inside as they are on the outside and I love that I not only get to do fun business with them but that I can also call them friends.
How killer are Auna’s heels?! You can find them here: Topshop
…but first, let me take a selfie #blogger
Loved seeing some of my Coach, South Coast Plaza, friends!!
I just want to give a special shout out to my good friend and fellow blogger, Alyssa of Living in Style, OC. She was the host and helped coordinate the entire event, and I couldn’t have been more proud of her fantastic job! StyleCon was such a huge success and all of her hard work showed.
If you were not able to make it to StyleCon this year, my hope is that it will be back next year and that I will have the honor of participating again. I had such a wonderful time and I want to send a huge thank you to the event coordinators for having me, my readers for supporting me, my fellow blogger friends for always influencing me, and especially my husband who not only cheers me on daily to chase this dream of mine but who was there the day of snapping away with the camera and taking videos. His pride in me really helped motivate me to do my best and I loved sharing this fun aspect of my business with him!
Happy almost-weekend, fashionistas!
