Farewell 2015!

It is the last day of the year so I saw it fitting to share some of my top favorite posts of 2015. This year has been quite a roller coaster in the personal sense, my family had some very high-highs (everything including Rajan), but also, some very sad lows (mom’s cancer plus some hurdles I am so happy to have behind us). On the business side, this year has been one of the most personally adventurous… taking blogging more serious, leaving my beloved job at the preschool, and focusing on growing the family business; it has been a year of tons of change, plenty of personal growth, and along the way while all of my inner strength was being tested, I found a way to end it with the most positive mind-set, and new knowledge to carry into 2016.
This has been an exciting year in blogging, from attending my first ‘blogger event’ and meeting all of the OC Bloggers, many of whom I now consider great friends, to having my first internet magazine publications (thanks OC Style Report), and hosting my first gig with Coach, and then ending it with a really fun and exciting event with Neiman Marcus. I have enjoyed all of the wonderful collaborations and events in between; it is still surreal to me that I have been fortunate to turn a hobby of loving fashion for all of these years into this blog, and everything it has become up to today.
My goals for 2016:
1. Be happy
2. Love full-heartedly
3. Work hard
4. Lead by example
5. Stay true to myself
Lets take a look back at some of my favorite looks and posts of 2015 before we cheers into the new year… 2016!

I shared details of my baby shower:

My first ‘Mommy ‘n Me’ post with Rajan:
Celebrating the 1 year anniversary of The South Coast Movement with a special photo shoot:
Color blocking continued to be a favorite look of mine:
Photo shoots with my best pal continued, even as he grew, they just seemed to get more fun:
Blush quickly became a favorite color of mine:
I stayed true to my word, and always kept it ‘real’:
Culottes were all the rage:
I took some fashion risks:
But also kept it casual-cool & got a little personal in my Mother’s Day post:
I kept it colorful and breezy in the Summer:
Then a highlight of my year, getting to work with OC Style Report for my feature in their online magazine:
I am currently wondering why I haven’t bought more hats recently:
I enjoyed summer to the fullest:
And mostly, I loved watching my bestie’s blog blow up:
Black on black still remains a favorite:
And then this look got some love on the Banana Republic website (the moment my husband officially started taking me serious):
My little guy turned 1, and we celebrated in the biggest way:
I kept it classic with a casual girly style:
It was also an honor to be a guest speaker at Style Con OC:
…but best of all, my favorite post of 2015…
A tribute to this beautiful country, and the journey our families have traveled for us to be here today:
I hope you have enjoyed reading and following me along on this journey as much as I have enjoyed sharing it with you. I am so excited to see what 2016 has to offer, and I can not wait to bring you more fun and exciting content. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for your support, loyalty, and for constantly motivating me to be the best human I can be with your love and positivity. I pray God brings you health, happiness, and success in the New Year.
All of mine, Darshan’s, and Rajan’s appreciation… The U Family thanks you.
Cheers, 2016!
With love,
