Weekend Style: Casual/Cool

On the weekends I like to keep my clothing simple and casual. I am a mom, so that also means my weekend wear needs to be cool, easy to move in, and something I can get down and have fun in; but I also refuse to sacrifice any of those things for style.
One of the most tricky things as a mom of a tiny tot is to wear clothing you feel confident in, but also that won’t put you in a compromising position when chasing around the little ones.
I am totally a sucker for a great pair of Harem Pants… throw in a sticker price of less than $30 and I am sold! These ultra comfortable army green pants are from Old Navy and the quality and style are not omitted for a great price, which I appreciate.

Chances are if you see me on the streets, 8 times out of 10 I am in a basic solid tee. I can’t begin to count how many white, black and grey easy-to-throw-on tees I have in my closet, and I am always on the hunt for great new colors and brands. It is so easy to dress a tee up or down, and when Raj gets at me with those sticky baby paws, I know I can brush it off and not be a stress basket about rushing to the dry cleaners!

Have you invested in a great pair of booties yet? I wear mine with everything and all year long. What is great about a great ankle boot is that you can wear them with skinny jeans, dresses, skirts (of all lengths) and even looser fitting pants, like these ones. I love the utilitarian look they added to this outfit but without making it look too structured. The small heel makes this look comfortable enough for a Target run but suitable enough to meet the hubs for a nice lunch (while Raj naps in the table booth, haha).

We had such a great weekend in Bakersfield visiting Mom and Dad U. We took Raj to the Pink Fest carnival in honor of Breast Cancer and celebrated D’s mom’s recent victory with Breast Cancer as well. With both of our moms being diagnosed and beating cancer since we have had Raj, you can say the U house is feeling more and more thankful for our Moms every single day!
Happy week and happy hustling!
With love,
