Maternity Photo Shoot by Ashlee Raubach

It has been quite a while since I have caught up on posting, I have been so busy getting ready for Baby Raj that I haven’t even had time to share all of the amazing events that have been taking place! We have been so lucky and so blessed with all of the love and support we have received from our family and friends, Baby Rajan is such a lucky guy to have so much family love and support.
When I first found out I was pregnant, there wasn’t much I knew about what would be taking place over the next couple of months. I knew our lives would never be the same, I knew my belly was going to grow bigger by the minute, I knew that we had been blessed with the most amazing little gift… but most importantly, I knew exactly who I wanted to take my photos for my maternity shoot! I mean, we are talking the important things here, right?
I have been a fan of Ashlee Raubach for a couple of years now. I first saw her work on a blog I had followed for years – Me Oh My Mama! – and the minute I saw that first photo I was in love! Ashlee has a way of capturing a beauty in her photos without the need of unnecessary props, add-ins or filters; just the pure and raw focus of her subjects. Her images are best described as “real.”
Doing our photo shoot in our home was also something that was important to us. We have spent the last couple of months transforming a home that we had built for years together for just the two of us into what would now be our son’s home. We were determined to make our place a haven for our little boy, and so taking the photos in what was now a home for the three of us, where we would be bringing our little guy to be loved in, held so much meaning to us.
We built this home for him, and it was important for us to remember that.

Ashlee Raubach did such an amazing job capturing the pureness and joy that Baby Rajan has already brought into this home. There has been a sense of calmness and peace, and Darshan and I have never been more happy in our lives. I can not wait to see what the future holds for our little family, but most of all, I just can not wait to meet my little boy.
With love,
Photography: Ashlee Raubach
