Harem Pants: Part 1

With this belly of mine growing quicker by the day, I have had to recently rely on clothing that is a little more forgiving in fit: not too snug on the waist, and plenty of room for stretch and growth.
In comes Harem pants to the rescue!
I have always been a huge lover of Harem pants, and even before pregnancy changes, I have been known to rock a pair or two. Now, though, I find myself being ever-so-grateful for this recent trend! Pregnancy or not, what is not to love about these style of pants? They are so comfortable, chic, and most of all – FUN! They come in so many different styles, colors and variety, that the options seem endless.
What I have found even better about this style of pants, is that unlike many styles of denim, or other pants, the price of the Harem pant can range from college budget friendly, to top designer budget and still fit and look great. I have bought Harem pants from Nordstrom, Forever 21, local boutiques, and to be honest, can’t completely confirm difference in fit, material, or looks. Who doesn’t love clothing that you can make look great at low cost?
I love styling Harem pants in so many different ways (hence, the need for a two part blog). They can go from day to night with a simple change of shoe and/or jacket, they are acceptable in all seasons (depending on color), and they are so fun to style – whether you go with a minimal/casual look or dazzled up for a night on the town! You can go printed Harem and solid tee, or fun design tee and solid pants. Flats, sandals, converse, and heels… there is just no going wrong with these pants!

For my look, I went with my favorite orange print Harems and chose to tone down their vibrant nature with solid accents: basic black tee, black flats, my favorite ‘go-to’ wrist candy and bag pulled this look together perfectly. Just enough color without over-doing it, and casual and comfortable for a Sunday afternoon… just how I like it!
