Weekenders: First Saturday of Spring Edition

What do I love about spring? Everything. Spring signifies new beginnings, growth, color, and days filled with sunshine… it also means we are getting that much closer to summer! I tend to be a more black and white, simple and traditional kind of gal, but this spring, I am trying to let myself allow more color into my wardrobe. It’s pretty hard to resist when the colors of the season are such beautiful, soft colors. It’s safe to say, the colors we will be seeing everywhere are pastel pinks, blues and yellows. Black and white is never out of style, and it is fun to see these colors mixed together or in matching separates. Yes, my friends, this season is looking bright.

This being the first weekend of spring, I didn’t want to disappoint. When this Zara mini skort came out last spring, I snatched it up in both black and white, and vowed never to wear another style of skirt again. It is so versatile and user friendly, and goes with just about every style and occasion you could need it for. It is comfortable, soft, and the fit is perfection. After snatching it up last spring, I was happy to see it become a staple style skirt for Zara, and with their new spring line being recently released, I was happy yet again to see it still made the cut! Word to the wise, snatch up this skirt while you can!
Another timeless piece: the denim jacket. I have been rocking the denim jacket since childhood, and it is a piece of clothing that continues to evolve (bonus points if you have a vintage). Every girl (and even guy) should have a denim jacket in their closet. It is chic, timeless, and will never go out of style. It is the perfect way to add a little casual to any ensemble.
And the bootie? I live in them, for them, and they never get old. I have built quite the collection, and have recently found myself being drawn to more fun, dramatic styles. I laid my eyes on these snakeskin beauties at one of my fav little San Clemente shops, Lincoln Street Boutique, and just couldn’t see my life going on without them. They have the ability to transform any uniform style into a funky, fresh, and fun outfit. I just simply love them.
Happy spring, all!
Warm wishes and love,
